Lead Writer: Ray Fawkes
Other Writers: Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Tim Seeley and Kyle Higgins
Artist: Aco

Story:

The GPD has brought in a couple of Arkham inmates for questioning, with the intent of finding answers as to what was up with Arkham a while back. All of the prisoners point to Professor Milo, an Arkham pharmacist and part time chemistry teacher for Gotham Academy. Batman hears about this and sets out to find where Milo has disappeared to.

Spoiler Corner:

Batwing is still currently dealing with his ghosts in his apartment, and Batman has provided him with some Nth Metal to help combat them. He attaches the material to the fists of his power armor, ready to fight off the ghosts.

Back in the Narrows, Stephanie Brown tries leaving Harper’s Apartment, still believing that Batman is involved in the havoc unleashed on Gotham City, because she saw “Bruce Wayne” give the orders to Cluemaster and his goons earlier. Harper then gets into a fight with her, to force her to stay.

At the Gotham International Airport, Professor Milo tries sneaking out of the country via plane. However, between the cops and the appearance of Batman, he is forced to flee and run from the airport and out onto the tarmac. There, he is attacked and confronted by Bats, who wants to know the truth behind everything. Just as he is about to get info, Batman is attacked by some ghostly arms/hands that emerge out of the ground, which declare that the time has come for him to learn the truth.

Thoughts:

You know, I thought we were making some real progress last time and the story was going somewhere; we got hit with a big reveal on top of it all. However, really not much happened at all in this issue. Batman searches for/confronts Professor Milo and we catch up with Batwing, Spoiler, and Bluebird. Really not much else besides those moments happened. It’s really sad since we are getting closer and closer to the end and the writing and artwork were very spot on. Hell, the artwork was phenomenal this time around. A combination of Aco’s pencils and Romulo Fajardo Jr.’s colors made for an absolutely stunning book this time around and I want these two to team up again sometime in the future.
