Story

As the police rushes to save Jim Gordon caught up in a riot in Blackgate, we see that Gordon is doing just fine. Managing to get the upper hand, he locks himself up in a cell with the Penguin and starts beating the crap out of him. Eventually, he starts asking him what is really going on and who wanted him dead.

Spoiler Corner

In the Batcave, Hush is continuing to mess around with the Batcomputer and the equipment. He then decides to hijack the Batboat and send it on a course to collide with a cargo ship. Across town though, Julia Pennyworth enters Red Robin’s lair and finds his own personal Batcomputer…

Above the city in a helicopter, Cluemaster is giving Spoiler one of those classic Darth Vader speeches about joining forces. Steph has been so smart with figuring out every plan the villains made that it has really impressed her father. However, she obviously rejects him and forces the helicopter closer to a rooftop, where she escapes onto.

Julia overrides the main Batcomputer just long enough for Alfred to escape his confinement as Hush tries to take control of everything again. Alfred then sneaks up behind him and starts wailing on the guy until he is knocked out. With Hush down, the butler takes control of the computer and unlocks all the Bat-Family’s equipment so they can use them again. The issue then ends with Batman flying in to help Red Hood fight Bane.

Thoughts

Things still feel like they are moving forward in the comic, but somehow, still very slowly. It feels like we almost wrapped up some storylines here, but some are still going on when there are, like, only three issues left in total. Still no word on the main mastermind or anything. Sure, there were some good character moments I found great and fitting of the characters, but come on. It’s time to wrap things up and not drag your feet anymore. Oh well, at least the writing and artwork were fine.
