As a native New Yorker, I expected to find some strange things on my first trip to California, but not this. I’m at Anaheim’s WonderCon, walking the show floor, and I stumble onto a merch booth full of prehistoric monsters! A bevy of ancient reptiles and stuff so old and so weird we can barely understand it.
It’s all the work of Aaron John Gregory and the Cotton Crustacean store, where you can find an Anomalocaris of your own to wear. Or maybe you’re into more traditional things like Plesiosaurs and giant sharks. No judgment! And if you’re not into flaunting your fishy proclivities, you can just order a print and admire Gregory’s art in the comfort of your own aquarium. He is an alumnus of the Kubert School for Graphic Art, after all.
