It’s the most complex LEGO set ever created, at 7,541 pieces.
We already covered how LEGO is going in on Force Friday II with a slew of new Star Wars sets, but that listing excluded the mother lode. While we have to wait a bit longer for this particular set, as it won’t debut until October 1, it appears it will be completely worth it: The Ultimate Collector’s Series Millennium Falcon is the most complex LEGO set ever created, weighing in at a staggering 7,541 pieces, and measuring 8″ high, 33″ long, and 22″ wide.
This Millennium Falcon Ultimate Collector Series is actually a revamp of a 2007 version of the same ship, which packed a measly 5,195 pieces — good enough to be, at the time, the largest set the toy company had ever created. This version eclipses that with over 2,000 more pieces of intricacy, and seven included mini-figurines: the original trilogy’s Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and C-3PO, and the sequel trilogy’s Rey, Finn, and an older Han Solo.
LEGO began teasing the set on social media a few days ago, explaining it would surpass the Taj Mahal in pieces to become the current record holder.
The Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon LEGO set will be available starting October 1. You can pre-order on LEGO’s site for the low, low price of $799.99.
