The simple announcement, released in charming analog, was posted in Wednesday’s “Forthcoming Marriages” section of the Times of London.

Game of Thrones fans around the world delight in the official news of Jon Snow and Ygritte’s upcoming real-life nuptials. The simple announcement, released in charming analog, was posted in Wednesday’s “Forthcoming Marriages” section of the Times of London.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie met in 2012 on-set in Iceland where they quickly fell in love with the landscape and each other. When asked by L’Uoro Vogue his favorite part of shooting the series he replied, “The three weeks in Iceland when we were shooting the second season. Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love.”

The pair has enchanted GoT viewers not only with their on-screen romance but their obvious affection in real life. As of yet, there is no date set for the wedding but, even though he’s moved on to court the Khaleesi on the show, we’ll keep an eye out for the pair as they move on to the next phase of their careers and their life together.
