Maybe the biggest surprise to come out of today’s Cup O’Joe Marvel Legacy: Avengers panel at New York Comic Con, though a welcome one, was the announcement of a brand new prose novel centered on Hulu’s soon-to-be superstar teenagers, the Runaways.
“It just made sense for it to be a young adult novel,” said editor Sana Amanat of the book due out in January, which spins out of the end of Brian K. Vaughan’s groundbreaking comic series. Written by New York Times bestselling author Christopher Golden, Runaways: An Original Novel brings the non-team back together after being “scattered to the winds.”
“It teases the next big challenge in their lives,” Amanat said.
