Paul Bettany and Sebastian Stan tease ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ at Rhode Island Comic Con

The Vision and Winter Soldier themselves teased “Avengers: Infinity War” at Rhode Island Comic Con.

Due to delays–and booked flights–the standing-room only “Road to Marvel’s Infinity Wars” panel at Rhode Island Comic Con was shorter than promised. But there was still enough time for actors Paul Bettany (The Vision) and Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier) to tease the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War.Paul Bettany and Sebastian Stan tease 'Avengers: Infinity War' at Rhode Island Comic ConWhere is the trailer?

Bettany has seen a new trailer–on co-director Joe Russo’s phone. How does The Vision describe it? “Badass” and “amazing.”

“It’ll be out, everyone will love it,” Bettany said.

How do you sum up Infinity War in one word?

“Epic,” Stan said, “almost every scene is epic.”

Stan went on to explain that, while most Marvel movies build toward an epic third act, Infinity War will be epic from beginning to end.Paul Bettany and Sebastian Stan tease 'Avengers: Infinity War' at Rhode Island Comic ConWhat’s new with The Vision and Wanda?

Fans of the Avengers comic books are well aware of The Vision and Scarlet Witch’s romantic ups and downs. But is a similar story coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Bettany seemed to tease just that when talking about how his character was initially worthy of Thor’s hammer.

The Vision was “pure of heart” at first, but Bettany said, “he’s been on Earth a few years, and he has that whole Scarlet Witch thing going on.” What thing? Hm…Paul Bettany and Sebastian Stan tease 'Avengers: Infinity War' at Rhode Island Comic ConWhen will Bucky pick up the shield?

You could tell Stan really didn’t want to tackle any question having to do with Bucky’s possible cinematic future, but he did say he has his own idea as to where he’d like to see his character go, including his relationship with Black Widow (something that clearly excited the audience).

“I’m up for whatever they throw my way,” Stan said.

Both actors seemed up for crossing over with the heroes from The Defenders. Stan mentioned The Punisher and Bettany said the Marvel Netflix series are loaded with fantastic actors.

One tidbit for the road

Nothing to do with Avengers or Infinity Stones, but Stan would really like to play Vince Neil in a Motley Crue biopic. So, get those petitions going, readers!Paul Bettany and Sebastian Stan tease 'Avengers: Infinity War' at Rhode Island Comic Con
