Fourteen days. In fourteen days I’ll be sitting in a theater watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
I’ll say that again folks, F-O-U-R-T-E-E-N days! It’s hard to believe that the day millions of fans across the world have been waiting two years for, is just two weeks away. It feels like The Force Awakens came out a lifetime ago, though I suppose that’ll happen after you’ve watched it a hundred times. Regardless, two years is a torturous amount of time to have wait for the second installation of a trilogy in the greatest franchise of all time.
It should go without saying that Star Wars is something truly unique and special. Its cultural impact is unparalleled and the franchise has brought together millions of people from around the world in a united feeling of joy so fierce that it’s nearly palpable. Ask any fan what they love so much about it and you’ll get countless different answers. And that’s because there’s so much about it to love. So many different ways to relate.
For me it’s the idea of standing up for what’s right, good versus evil, adventure into the unknown, space travel, star fighters, lightsabers, funny moments and memorable quotes. For others it’s the strong female characters, the friendships, the creatures, the gadgets, the dark ages-esque civilizations, watching the characters grow or what the franchise has done for the science fiction genre.
Regardless of why you love Star Wars, our team at AiPT! wants to celebrate that love. So starting today December 1st we’ll be counting down to Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Each day we’ll be posting a new Star Wars-themed article for your enjoyment. We’ll be covering all the latest news and updates, reviewing the latest comics, teaching you how to build your very own lightsaber on our YouTube channel, breaking down all the best theories on our podcast, showcasing the best cosplay, ranking the best Sith/Jedi and so much more. We won’t stop once the film has been released, either — this will continue for the entire month of December.
