Ewan McGregor sure looked a lot like Obi-Wan Kenobi at the Golden Globes

Does Ewan McGregor have the high ground once again?

Ewan McGregor had a great night last night at the Golden Globes, scoring an award for Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture for TV for his role in Fargo. But Star Wars fans eager for any news pertaining to his most iconic role noticed both the fair atop his head and his facial hair bore a strong resemblance to that of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

Images have also been floating around the internet of McGregor training, possibly getting back into tip-top Jedi shape for the role.

The Hollywood Reporter asked McGregor about the rumors at the Golden Globes, who unfortunately did not give any new information.

“There’s a lot of talk, and I’d be happy to play him again, but I don’t know anything more than you do,” he replied. It’s no secret McGregor is very interested in reprising the role, one of the lone bright spots of the prequel trilogy.

Ewan is still a fan of the series, and he noted to Hollywood Reporter he enjoyed The Last Jedi. “I saw the new one over Christmas and I thought it was really, really beautiful.”
