Ragman #4 reveals origins tied to magic and a Christian backstory

The origins of Ragman are revealed this week.

SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.

Ragman recently got his DC Rebirth start and the third issue is out today. After teaming up with Etrigan the Demon, Ragman not only has some demonic muscle on his hands, but a character who has lived for eons. Those years alive have allowed him to harbor memories of the old days, and in particular the origin of Ragman’s abilities. Check it out below:

Turns out after a Merlin-like figure summoned the beast it was stolen and used in the Crusades. Luckily the Shining Knight was there to cleave this beast down before the Pope could use it to really cause some damage. I assume.

Ray Fawkes and Inaki Miranda are currently writing a solid supernatural Ragman series, and issue #4 is out now.
