Gary Oldman wouldn’t mind starring in a Marvel movie

But who would he play?

Robert Downey Jr. J.K. Simmons. Tommy Lee Jones. Hugh Jackman. Sally Fields. Paul Giamatti. Can we soon add Gary Oldman to the list of high-profile actors who have appeared in a Marvel film?

“Marvel hasn’t called me,” the 59-year-old actor told PEOPLE at the 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday. “But now that you mentioned it, if they’re tuning in, my son wants me to!”

The 59-year-old actor is no stranger to superhero films; his role as Commissioner Jim Gordon in the Nolan-helmed Batman trilogy still serves as a benchmark for the character.

Which role would you like to see Oldman play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Sound off in the comments.
