There have been multiple alpha builds for Battle For Azeroth, the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion and followup to the hugely successful Legion. Dataminers have been finding lots of interesting notes and assets within the files, but no one outside of Blizzard has been able to actually play the pre-release version of the game.
Today, that seems to have changed. Though only a small number of players have been invited thus far, the alpha servers for Battle For Azeroth are live! Streamers are already showing off the latest build on Twitch and other streaming services — one such stream will be embedded below.
If you want to have a chance to get into the Battle For Azeroth alpha or beta, be sure to check your opt-in settings in your Battle.net account, under Games & Codes > Beta Profile settings.
Battle For Azeroth features new content such as Warfronts, additional Allied Races, the ability to increase your characters to level 120, and a whole lot more. The expansion is set to release on or before September 21, 2018 and is available for pre-purchase now. Pre-purchasing the expansion will allow you to unlock and play as four of the six announced Allied Races — Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei, Highmountain Tauren and Nightborne — right now.
