[WATCH] The future of Yu-Gi-Oh! at NY Toy Fair 2018

The veteran franchise keeps on chugging.

There’s a reason Yu-Gi-Oh! is still a dominant player in the TCG landscape, almost 20 years after it first hit the scene. Well, several reasons, as we found out from one of the company’s marketing specialists (and a pretty darn good player himself), Robert Boyajian, at NY Toy Fair this weekend. See if you can pick up on some in this video outlining the products being rolled out through June.

One of the reasons is clearly new support for old decks, something you really don’t see from other games. And the sheer variety of product and different ways you can play, from ultra-competitively to “buy this box and have fun with it” means they hit every segment of the market. Having an ever-popular anime as a constant advertisement doesn’t hurt, either.
