Black Panther passes Frozen to become 10th highest grossing film of all time

Surprise: the Black Panther movie continues to break box office records.

[Insert clever “Let It Go” joke here.]

That’s right, Elsa — make room for the king of Wakanda. According to Box Office Mojo, Black Panther prowled its way into the top ten highest all time box office list this past weekend, joining the illustrious ranks of such films as Avatar, Titanic and Star Wars: The Force Awakens:

An interesting distinction that sets Black Panther apart from the other films in the top ten: 50.9% of those earnings are domestic, a figure which bumps the film into the top five domestic grosses of all time and the highest domestic grossing Marvel film ever.

On a related note, the Kendrick Lamar-curated Black Panther: The Album enters its seventh week in the top five of the Billboard Top 200.
