Dolph Ziggler wins Intercontinental Championship from Seth Rollins on Raw

The Showoff pulls off the upset in an Intercontinental Championship open challenge.

There’s a new champion on Monday Night Raw.

One day after defeating Elias at Money in the Bank to retain his Intercontinental Championship, Seth Rollins lost the title tonight on Raw following an open challenge, which Dolph Ziggler answered. Ziggler, who is now a six time Intercontinental Champion, came down with his tag team partner, Drew McIntyre. Following the win via rollup, Ziggler and McIntyre attacked Rollins, delivering a tandem Claymore Kick/Zig Zag to the fallen Kingslayer.

While many expected gold around Ziggler’s waist following his team-up with McIntyre, most would have assumed it would come in the form of tag team gold. But as it stands, the Showoff is once again Intercontinental Champion, and will likely defend the title against Rollins next month at Extreme Rules.
