Amazon Prime Video announced today their panel lineup for New York Comic Con 2018.
As New York Comic Con creeps closer and closer the announcements from big media companies that will be in attendance are beginning to pour in. Netflix recently announced their panel lineup, bringing the hugely popular comic book-based series Marvel’s Daredevil and The Umbrella Academy. As well as Big Mouth, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The Haunting of Hill House and Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
Amazon Prime Video looks to steal the show with the announcement of events for the highly-anticipated series Good Omens, based off the book by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Fans in attendance with be given an exclusive first look at the upcoming 2019 series at the Good Omens panel, held on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Madison Square Garden. In attendance for the panel with be series showrunner Neil Gaiman, as well as talent Douglas Mackinnon, David Tennant, Michael Sheen and Miranda Richardson.
There will also be a unique fan experience at NYCC for Good Omens.
“On the convention floor, a peculiar elevator will carry guests to an undisclosed location, detailing their fate in the great cosmic chess game between good and evil. Doors will open to reveal guests’ ill-fated luck, or alternately their blessed end, as they step inside either Heaven or Hell. “Heaven” will welcome guests to fussy angel Aziraphale’s bookshop, where they can explore the antiquities within and even try their hand at speaking to God. Guests destined for “Hell,” will be welcomed to hop inside loose-living demon Crowley’s 1926 Bentley for a devilish photo moment. Fans unable to attend NYCC will get the chance to digitally interact with the experience through a series of social media extensions. ” said Peter Binazeski of Amazon Studios Publicity.
Emmy winner The Man in the High Castle will have a panel at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday Oct. 6, with executive producer Isa Dick Hackett and cast members Alexa Davalos, Rufus Sewell, Joel De La Fuente and Chelah Horsdal. Fans can also sign up to attend a private autograph signing.
The Hammerstein Ballroom will also host a panel for the podcast based TV series Lore on Oct. 5 with panelists Executive Producers Gale Anne Hurd and Howard T. Owens, showrunner Sean Crouch, podcast creator Aaron Mahnke and cast members Josh Bowman, Thomas Kretschmann, Elie Haddad and Alicia Witt. Attendees will get a special sneak-peek at the upcoming season of Lore.
Upcoming 2019 TV comic book based-series The Boys, will hold a panel on Friday Oct. 5 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Panelists include Eric Kripke, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, and other that will be revealed at a later date. Attendees will receive an exclusive first look at the upcoming series.
