Remastered ‘Warcraft III: Reforged’ announced at BlizzCon

“You’ve never seen Azeroth like this.”

During the BlizzCon 2018 opening ceremony, Blizzard’s Classic Games team unveiled the highly anticipated remaster of Warcraft III, titled Warcraft III: Reforged.

Reforged is a “complete reimagining” of Warcraft III, featuring entirely new models for every character and 4K resolution. Blizzard is touting that the game will feature 62 missions that span both continents, Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

Also making a return in Reforged is the map editor, featuring new customizations. WC3 map creators were responsible for inventing the MOBA genre of games that thrive today, including Blizzard’s own Heroes of the Storm.

“We’ve rebuilt every hero, unit, building, and environment in Warcraft III from the ground up. You’ve never seen Azeroth like this,” according to Blizzard.

Warcraft III: Reforged will launch some time in 2019 and is available for pre-purchase now.
