David F. Walker, comic writer of series such as Bitter Root for Image, and the ongoing Naomi for DC, as well as a teacher on comics at Portland State University (alongside Brian Michael Bendis), is launching his own comics company – Solid Comix. Originally reported by Newsarama, few details are available as of now aside from an indication that all of the content published by the company will be creator-owned, and that most — if not all — of the stories will be written or co-created by Walker.
The first book from Solid Comix will be One Fall, by Walker and artist Brett Weldele, due out Spring 2019. Walker’s second title The Hated, with artist Sean Damien Hill, does not currently have a release timeline.
