Movies to look forward to in March

Here are the movies we are looking forward to in March.

It seems like the summer movie season begins earlier each year. It is not starting in March (yet) but there are some big films coming out during the month. Here are some of the film’s we are looking forward to in March.

March 1

A Madea Family Funeral (Nationwide): Just when you thought Tyler Perry’s part in a Best Picture nominee meant he had moved on to more serious things we are treated to this gem. This is supposedly the last Madea movie, so maybe there’s hope. Either way, it is doubtful Spike Lee will be laughing.

Greta (Limited): Chloe Grace Moretz plays a young woman living in New York City. When she returns a lost handbag she found it leads to a new friendship. The trailer looks creepy and fun.

March 8

Captain Marvel (Nationwide): Is it fair to call this the first big release of 2019? The lead up to Endgame starts here and early estimates predicts this will be a blockbuster. But how will it rank in the whole MCU?

March 15

Wonder Park (Nationwide): Matthew Broderick, Jennifer Garner, and John Oliver sounds like an impressive cast. The question is will it work as an animated movie from Nickelodeon Studios? The film is about a woman who finds the real version of the amusement park she built as a kid.

Five Feet Apart (Nationwide): A movie about two teenagers with cystic fibrosis who fall in love. The complex plot required two writers.

Captive State (Nationwide): The premise sounds like a summer blockbuster. Aliens have invaded the earth and enslaved humanity. Or have they united everyone with peace? The movie stars John Goodman and Ashton Sanders.

March 19

Triple Threat (Limited): Martial arts film about a group of mercenaries paid to protect a billionaire’s daughter. Cast includes Tony Jaa and MIchael Bisping.

March 22

Us (Nationwide): The latest movie from Jordan Peele seems to be about identity and finding ourselves. Just kidding. It’s a horror movie with evil doppelgangers and it looks terrifying.

Where’d You Go, Bernadette? (Nationwide): Based on the best selling novel, the movies stars Cate Blanchett as the titular Bernadette. When she disappears her daughter tries to find her.

The Dirt (Netflix): Motley Crue was THE hair metal band of the 1980s. Sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll does not even scratch the surface. The book of the same name may be the best work the group ever did. Hopefully, the movie does it justice.

Dumbo (Nationwide): Has there ever been a more tear inducing trailer? Based on the Disney animated classic and starring Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Eva Green, the movie is about a young elephant with oversized ears and a unique ability.
