Thanks to Big E and Xavier Woods winning yet another gauntlet match, Kofi Kingston will face Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 for the WWE Championship.
At the beginning of tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live!, New Day demanded answers from WWE chairman Vince McMahon. Eventually Mr. McMahon announced that if Big E and Xavier Woods could prove they were not a “B+ tag team” by winning a gauntlet match (the third gauntlet match wrestled by the New Day in as many weeks), Kofi Kingston would finally earn a spot against Daniel Bryan at the Show of Shows.

And Big E and Xavier Woods did just that, defeating Gallows and Anderson, Rusev and Nakamura, The Usos (via immediate forfeit, as a show of respect for Kofi Kingston), and Daniel Bryan and Rowan, after Big E buried Rowan under a table to win by countout. Mr. McMahon then confirmed that Kofi would be heading to WrestleMania as a result.
