WarnerMedia announces HBO Max, an all-inclusive streaming service

The new streaming service on the block will include Crunchyroll, DC shows/films and much more.

Not so many years ago, you likely struggled to find something to watch. That could be because you only had a few channels and not many options, or too many options with not enough that you’d be interested in. When it comes to options in online streaming, they’re only set to increase with Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime and now, HBO Max.

HBO Max is set to launch Spring 2020 and it’ll be the new home of Friends as it leaves Netflix at the end of the year, as well as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Future CW shows, like Riverdale spin-off Katy Keene and Batwoman, will go to HBO Max thirty days before the next season premieres. The service will also have movies made specifically for it, with people like Reese Witherspoon and Greg Berlanti developing for it.

HBO Max will not only have these and HBO shows, but also Turner Classic Movies, Looney Tunes, anime service Crunchyroll, Adult Swim and more, including programming from Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. According to Business Insider, DC Universe will remain as a separate service and there aren’t yet plans to roll it into HBO Max.

Here’s hoping there’ll be more news on the service in the coming months.
