Overwatch is coming to Nintendo Switch October 15

The long-rumored Nintendo Switch port is official.

It’s official: Overwatch will be released on Nintendo Switch October 15. The news was confirmed today during the Nintendo Direct briefing.

The popular team-based first person shooter has been a smash hit for Blizzard Entertainment since its release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC back in 2016, and has a vibrant eSports scene. Now, you’ll be able to play it on the go on your Switch.

It’s been a big year for Overwatch, as two new heroes have been released in Baptiste and Sigma, and role lock coming to competitive mode.

This is not Blizzard’s first foray into Nintendo’s hybrid console/handheld, as Diablo III came out for the Switch back in 2018.
