Valiant Comics coyly teased a 2020 Shadowman series at New York Comic-Con, showing off an ominous black and white image that had panel goers shouting the titular character’s name.
Nobody from Valiant Comics confirmed this was a Shadowman announcement, yet no one outright denied the possibility, especially as calls for a new series echoed from the audience. Heather Antos, editor at Valiant Comics, did say that this mysterious project featured “one of the most exciting creative teams I’ve been able to work with in my entire career.” Looking at the staggering roster of creatives Antos has worked with thus far, this is quite an enticing statement.
Immediately following the Shadowman tease, Valiant Comics showed NYCC another teaser image- this time hinting at an incoming line-wide event in 2020.
Valiant Comics did not divulge details about the image they were showing, however, they did make it clear that this was teasing something big for the Valiant Universe in 2020. It is worth noting how many major players in the Valiant Universe- like Ninja-K, X-O Manowar, and Faith- are featured in this artwork.
Aside from hinting at what is coming in 2020, Valiant Comics also dove deep into upcoming releases in 2019, including the newly announced relaunch of Quantum & Woody from The Unbelievable Gwenpool writer Christopher Hastings and Curse Words artist Ryan Browne.
