Mary Mangan

Mary has been fascinated with biology since spending summers at the Atlantic coast, engrossed by tide pools. This led to several biology degrees and eventually a Ph.D. Moving to bioinformatics and genomics as those fields emerged, she finds databases are the new tide pools, and new genomics waves keep washing interesting things in. She co-founded OpenHelix, a company providing awareness and training on open source genomics software tools.
