Futures End #32: is it good?

Story
Somewhere in New York City, Terry/Batman Beyond and Plastique are deciding what to do next while getting some dinner together/flirting a bit. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne tries talking down Mister Terrific about going public with his new uSphere project, arguing that the general population isn’t ready for it. Terrific blows him off and then makes an announcement to the citizens of New York that 24 hours before the uSphere is released, the city is getting their hands on one exclusively.

Elsewhere, Cash Cole and Lana Lang are getting set up with some new identities to try and live in peace. They’ve gotten married (not sure if that’s part of the cover or for real) and are content to find somewhere to live under the radar.
On Cadmus Island, Fifty Sue is extremely pissed off that Deathstroke is dead, since she wanted to be the one who killed him for betraying her. She then plots revenge against Brother Eye, believing he’s the one who did it, and dons Deathstroke’s mask.
Back at Dr. Yamazake’s apartment, apparently the lunatic didn’t die when the explosion happened. His body is now a living magnetic field (it’s comic book science, don’t ask me how it works) and he is planning on destroying the Justice League for trying to sabotage his work. So yes, an explosion clearly didn’t make him anymore sane. The key to doing just that though is in his lab.
Firestorm is still having trouble. Madison and Jason still cannot separate and it’s frustrating them. However, Jason has an idea and has Madison return back to the destroyed lab to find the solution to their problem.
Outside of Earth’s orbit, the S.H.A.D.E. team and remains of Stormwatch have returned from the Multiverse after teleporting away from Brainiac. The heroes and Black Adam seem happy about this, until the Ant Farm, S.H.A.D.E.’s special HQ, appears alongside their ship. Father Time congratulates them on returning back safely, but requests Angie/the Engineer comes with them. You see, S.H.A.D.E. has been in the business of capturing and protecting the Earth from all sorts of different threats and they see Brainiac as the biggest of them. So unless the Engineer is turned over to them, S.H.A.D.E. is unleashing every monster on the heroes they got in order to get what they want.
Thoughts
Now this issue was a mix of setup and story progression. Some storylines are getting setup for the next stage of their tale (like with Fifty Sue), while the rest are progressing forward with new surprises and twists to them. As such, the issue felt very eventful and made for a very enjoyable read. I found every bit of storyline and subplot shown here to be interesting — which makes me hope that the rest of the run keeps up the momentum seen here. Otherwise, I found the writing and characterization to be very good like usual and I even liked the artwork by Scot Eaton this time around. All it took was a new inker for him, Scott Hanna, and it looked rather good.
