Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to wrestle in WWE

YES! YES! YES!

YES! YES! YES! After months of teases and glimmers of hope, SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan cleared for in-ring action by WWE doctors, three weeks away from WrestleMania. WWE made the announcement via their Twitter account this afternoon.

Listen to the latest episode of our weekly wrestling podcast, PTW!

No official plans have been made for WrestleMania just yet, but according to wrestling journalists such as Dave Meltzer, as well as Daniel Bryan himself, if he were to get cleared, WrestleMania 34 was the plan. Bryan missed last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, but has been announced to return on tonight’s episode. With only three weeks to go until Mania, his plans will need to be solidified sooner rather than later.

Daniel Bryan was forced to retire in February 2016 after a series of heartbreaking injuries and concussions. After main eventing WrestleMania XXX in one of the most exciting WWE storylines in years, Bryan was forced to vacate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship due to injury. He made a brief return before WrestleMania 31, where he won the Intercontinental Championship to become a grand slam champion, but was also forced to relinquish that title shortly after.

We don’t quite know what Bryan will do at this year’s Showcase of the Immortals, but common sense would dictate he will be involved with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn somehow. We may find out more on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live; until then, I think I speak for every wrestling fan with this gif:
