Castlevania season 2 trailer hypes blood-soaked war between humans and Dracula

First look at the much anticipated second season of Castlevania.

Ali Shankar’s Castlevania debuted its first four-episode season on Netflix last summer and was immediately a smash hit with fans. The show is based off of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and is easily one of the best video game adaptations you’ll find. A second season was renewed by Netflix on the same day of the first season’s debut and we’re finally getting a look at it with the official release of Castelvania: Season 2 trailer.

As you can see from the trailer, things aren’t looking good for humanity. After the murder of his human wife at the hand’s of her fellow humans, Dracula has decidedly had enough of humanity and launches a war to wipe them from the face of the earth.

Season 2 will pit our three heroes-Trevor Belmont, warrior and monsterhunter; Sypha, member of the Speakers and powerful mage; and Alucard, the son of Dracula himself; against the lord of all vampires.

If you need to catch up with Castlevania before the second season arrives, you can watch it on Netflix. Alternatively if you’re more of a physical media type of person, Viz media announced at San Diego Comic Con earlier this month that they’ve secured rights to license Castlevania for home video. Though at this time there’s no word available on when Viz will be releasing it.

I was one of the many fans who was extremely disappointed that the first season only had four episodes, so I’m stoked to be able to share that the second season will have double the episodes of the first season. 8 blood-soaked episodes of vampires, monsters and ass-kicking await us.

Castlevania Season 2 will premieres on Netflix on October 26, 2018.
