NYCC 2018: Doing some shopping? Stop by these booths

At NYCC and looking to snag some sweet merch? Check out these spots!

Part of the wonder, and financial challenge, of going to any convention is the endless amount of comics, toys, t-shirts, and goodies readily available to purchase. New York Comic Con is no exception and boasts a staggering number of vendors selling every piece of nerd swag you could possibly want. There’s almost too much to choose from. Luckily for you, I spent a few hours wandering around the NYCC floor tracking down the best booths to buy awesome merch at.

SuperHeroStuff.com- Booth 1866

Every con-goer knows the Tower of T-Shirts, but they should skip the tower and head straight for SuperHeroStuff.com’s booth for all their geek apparel needs. They have an incredible selection of the highest-quality shirts, hoodies, socks, backpacks, hats, and lanyards for men, women, and kids. I especially recommend checking out their stellar selection of comic book and Star Wars hats- nobody on the floor has as many options.

Graphitti Designs- Booth 1744

NYCC 2018: Doing some shopping? Stop by these booths

If you’ve been to San Diego Comic Con, you’re familiar with Graphitti Designs and their famous con-exclusive DC Variants and kick-ass DC Comics t-shirts. Graphitti has not one, but two booths and NYCC to serve the rabid DC fans hunting down their exclusives- like the gorgeous Heroes in Crisis #1 foil variant at this year’s show. You can also grab a ton of killer Metal inspired t-shirts only available at Graphitti.

Comic Exposure- Booth 2744

There are certainly scores of people who come to comic conventions for all the general pop culture craziness not comics, but New York Comic Con has a surprising contingency of attendees who are there for the comics. Those on the hunt for rare variants of more modern releases have to check-out Comic Exposure. They have a downright breathtaking amount of variants spread across their tables and even have a huge stock of blank variants for fans to take down to artist alley for custom covers.

Matt Rybarczyk’s Comics- Booth 2408

NYCC 2018: Doing some shopping? Stop by these booths

Mr. Rybarczyk may not have the biggest booth, but what he lacks in size he makes up for with inventory and knowledge of inventory. Mr. Rybarczyk has comics from all era of all grades ranging from low-quality floppies to slab-worthy grails. If you’re on the hunt for something specific, just ask. I was tracking down an elusive copy of Web of Spider-Man #31, asked Mr. Rybarczyk if he had it, and he immediately pulled out a box, flipped through it, and handed me the issue I sought. Now that’s some good convention customer service.

Midtown Comics- Booth 2336

NYCC 2018: Doing some shopping? Stop by these booths

Chances are, if you’re attending a comic convention, you’ve heard of Midtown Comics. They’re online and in-person store  has one of the best inventories across the country. On the NYCC show floor, however, there’s no better place to look for trade paperbacks than Midtown. Plenty of booths have boxes on boxes of trades for half off, but they’re usually organized at random and marked down because nobody wants to read them in the first place. Midtown has all their trades neatly organized in alphabetical fashion and even offers 20% off. They’re the place to go for your trade needs.
