“I ended on the perfect scene,” Arya Stark actress Maisie Williams says of her final moments in Game of Thrones

A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell and she has a beautiful ending.

Arya Stark has been through some of the most growth of any character in Game of Thrones and actress Maisie Williams, who recently wrapped up filming for the series’ eighth and final season, revealed her final moments in HBO’s popular political thriller/fantasy epic were more than befitting.

“[My final scene was] beautiful,” the twenty-one-year-old actress told The Guardian on Wednesday. “I ended on the perfect scene. I was alone – shocker! Arya’s always bloody alone. But I was alone and I had watched a lot of other people wrap. I knew the drill, I had seen the tears and heard the speeches.”

Williams also schooled fans on the proper pronunciation for the lady turned uber-assassin: “It’s Arr-ya,” she said. “But I don’t like that, so I call her Arr-ee-ya.” Next on the schedule for Williams? Portraying another lupine-themed character in Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane of The New Mutants, a horror-themed X-Men spinoff series set for release next year.

Alone? Does this mean that Arya won’t reunite with her brother Jon Snow after all? What do you think Arya’s final scene will be like in Game of Thrones? Sound off in the comments.
