Dean Ambrose turns on Seth Rollins to close an already emotional WWE Raw

An emotional night for The Shield ends in the group’s implosion.

On an already emotional night for Shield fans following Roman Reigns’ announcement that he will be stepping away from WWE to battle leukemia, Dean Ambrose closed out tonight’s episode of Raw by turning on Seth Rollins, hitting a Dirty Deeds onto a championship title.

Ambrose and Rollins took on Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre for the Raw Tag Team Championships in the main event of tonight’s show, and were successful in capturing the titles after Braun Strowman interfered, taking McIntyre out of the match. Immediately after winning the titles however, Ambrose suddenly snapped and attacked his brother in arms, ultimately delivering a Dirty Deeds onto the exposed concrete outside the ring.

An Ambrose heel turn has been teased every since he returned from an injury a couple months ago, and it finally happened tonight in Providence, Rhode Island. Between this and the horrible news of Reigns’ health, The Shield suddenly imploded tonight on Raw.
