Marvel introduces a new superhero team via Captain Marvel and Alpha Flight

And it might have the coolest name for a superhero team yet.

SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.

Read our 10/10 review of Immortal Hulk #8.

Alpha Flight is probably most notable for originally having Wolverine on their roster. Over the years the team has changed (though Puck has maintained a role for the most part) and in its recent incarnation Captain Marvel has been the leader with a base orbiting Earth. The team has been semi-involved in the new series Immortal Hulk thanks to the inclusion of Sasquatch in the storyline. Their position seems to be getting much more involved in Hulk’s business in today’s eigth issue however, after the Avengers “lost” Hulk last issue.

Walter Langkowski, aka Sasquatch, recently lost his powers to the Hulk who absorbed all the Gamma radiation from his body. So he has a personal stake in finding the Hulk.

With so much effort going towards finding and containing the Hulk, the only logical thing to do is create a superhero group devoted to finding him, right?

The logical name for a task force funded by Alpha Flight?

Okay, now that is cool!
