Star Wars: Darth Vader #24 plants a seed that could mean doom for the Emperor

This issue also gets Darth Vader one step closer to his wish to be reunited with his bride.

SPOILERS ahead. You’ve been warned.

Without a doubt, Charles Soule’s run on Darth Vader has been of the great comic series ever told in the Star Wars universe. It comes to an end with issue #25, but the penultimate issue is here. In it, Darth Vader faces a Sith named Momin who is incredibly powerful and ancient with knowledge of the Force like we’ve never seen. In this penultimate issue Momin kicks Vader’s butt, but in doing so implants an idea that could be further reason for why Darth Vader turned on the Emperor in Return of the Jedi.

Leading up to this moment, Momin does what any dime a dozen villain does and does a lot of talking.

He is talking of a Sith doorway that may let Darth Vader meet with Padme and actually bring her back just as the Emperor promised.

Could what Momin says above be true? Is the Emperor holding out? Even if he isn’t, if you were Darth Vader wouldn’t you want some answers? Maybe we’ll find out, but one thing is for certain, Darth Vader gets what Darth Vader wants:

The door is open and Darth Vader may finally get to be reuinated with Padme in issue #25.

I’ve only revealed a bit of this issue so get the full story by buying Darth Vader #24 today.
