Jordan Peele’s directorial debut was one of the best movies of 2017. Get Out was a thought provoking horror film that was as relatable as it was frightening. Get Out was a critical and commercial success that filled theaters and was nominated for various awards. Everyone was left wondering what Peele’ next big screen project would be.
Earlier this month, the poster for Peele’s new movie Us was released. It was simple, yet frightening and brought about even more questions.
Some answers were given today as the first trailer was released. The frightening trailer seems to a be a new spin on the tried and true home invasion horror movie. Though the trailer does a great job of not telling the audience why anything is happening, it is clear that one of the themes of Us is we are our own worst enemy.
Us is scheduled to release nationwide on March 15, 2019.
