Robert Pattinson in negotiations to play titular hero in Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’

Tell me, do you sparkle? YOU WILL.

He’s going from sparkly vampire to The Dark Knight — Robert Pattinson, perhaps best known from his starring role in the Twilight saga and more recently in 2017 crime-film Good Time is in talks to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in upcoming Matt Reeves’ film The Batman, which is slated for a June 25th, 2021 release. UPDATE: NICHOLAS HOULT is also in contention for the role of BATMAN, but PATTINSON has the edge over him. It’s almost a done deal. – I’m doing my HARDEST to reserve judgement on this. If you checked out my story a few days ago I mentioned that this was 100% a possibility, and now here we are. Oh man the comments on this are gonna be really interesting to read. I’m not gonna say much because I need to process. – I’ve been told that he’s a MUCH better actor now than what he was in the ‘TWILIGHT’ franchise, so we’ll see what he has to offer! – #Batman #BruceWayne #ZackSnyder #TheBatman #MattReeves #DCExtendedUniverse #Joker #TheJoker #HarleyQuinn #DCEU #DCComics #Gotham #GothamCity #Robin #Nightwing #Batgirl #BatFamily #Catwoman #SelinaKyle #Penguin #OswaldCobblepot #Comics #DickGrayson #BarbaraGordon #DCUniverse #JusticeLeague #HenryCavill

Although Pattison may seem like a peculiar choice for The Caped Crusader, the 33-year-old actor still has time to more thoroughly dissociate himself from his days Edward Cullen as the lead in a still as of yet unnamed Christopher Nolan-directed movie due to hit theaters in 2020. Reeves, of Cloverfield and the last two War for the Planet of the Apes films fame, took over directing duties of The Batman from Ben Affleck in 2017.
