Jon Moxley makes surprise debut at AEW Double or Nothing

The former WWE Superstar blew the roof off the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

On April 30, 2019, Dean Ambrose died.

On May 1, 2019, Jon Moxley was born again.

On May 25, 2019, Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double or Nothing and the wrestling world collectively lost its damned mind.

Chris Jericho had just defeated Kenny Omega is the main event of the evening, and was cutting a heel promo on the crowd, when suddenly there was a commotion in the stands. People started cheering, screaming, and chanting “holy sh*t!” Why? Jon f*cking Moxley had arrived and was on his way to the ring through the crowd. To say the fans were excited would be putting it lightly, and good ole JR described it best, “Good God Almighty, the roof just came off!”

What happened next was nothing short of incredible, and has the entire wrestling world in a frenzy. If you missed it, you can watch below.

Not only did Moxley attack Jericho and put him on the ground with his finishing double-arm DDT (formerly known as Dirty Deeds, current name unknown), but he attacked wrestling community darling Kenny Omega. Omega and Moxley battled through the ring, brawled out into the crowd, and found themselves up on top of the giant poker chips used in Double or Nothing‘s set, where Moxley ultimately ended things by giving Omega his finisher, and then throwing him off the top into another piece of the production set below.

Double or Nothing ended with Moxley atop the production set with the fans losing their god damn minds. What an evening.

But it gets better. Not only did this end Double or Nothing on quite possibly the highest note ever, it set up Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega as the biggest feud in AEW, and quite possibly wrestling.

AEW’s next event, Fyter Fest, goes down on June 29, 2019 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Suffice to say all eyes will be watching to see what Moxley and Omega do next.
