More details appear to have emerged about All Elite Wrestling’s upcoming weekly television show, as according to PWInsider, the company filed for a trademark for “Wednesday Night Dynamite.”
AEW previously filed for “Tuesday Night Dynamite,” ostensibly as a precaution, but concerns around the NBA’s schedule arose, as TNT usually airs NBA games on Tuesday nights.
If the show does indeed air on Wednesday nights, it will go up against WWE’s NXT, which is taped in advance and airs Wednesday nights at 8pm on the WWE Network.
While not a lot has been made official, more and more details surrounding AEW’s show have been surfacing as of late. We now know it will (probably) air on Wednesdays, and according to Tony Khan on Steve Austin’s podcast, it will be two hours, shot live every week. It will also adopt a touring schedule akin to WWE’s Raw and SmackDown brands, as opposed to filming in one central location ala the Impact Zone or Full Sail University.
Wednesday Night Dynamite is expected to begin airing on TNT in October.
