Dora embarks on a new adventure as she explores life outside of the jungle and ventures into high school. However, Dora goes on to prove she did not choose the jungle life, the jungle life chose her. Dora must return to the wild to save her parents, but she brings along her new high school friends.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold stars Isabel Moner as Dora and Eva Longoria and Michael Peña as her parents. Directed by James Bobin, this film is family friendly and full of action and adventure. Children and fans of the cartoon will enjoy seeing favorites like Boots, played by Danny Trejo and Benicio Del Toro as Swiper. Eugenio Derbez also joins the cast as their comedic guide in the jungle.
While this might be Dora’s first time as live action in the theaters, the animated of Dora has been charming children since 2000. Dora gained popularity teaching children Spanish and how to follow maps in the original cartoon Dora the Explorer.
Paramount Pictures in collaboration with Nickelodeon will release the film in theaters on August 9th.
