The official Harley Race Twitter account confirmed the unfortunate news about 20 minutes later.
Today at 12:50, we lost the man that fought up until the very last of his existence. More information will be released soon, but just know that he loved pro-wrestling and the fans that loved him.
Harley Race, we love you

Race was an eight time NWA World Champion, and is a member of the WWE, NWA, Professional Wrestling, and Wrestling Observer Halls of Fame, one of only six men to do so. He has influenced countless wrestlers from following generations, notably Triple H.
Race competed in nearly every major promotion that existed in his era, including the AWA, NWA, WWF and WCW.
Rest in peace, Harley Race. You will he missed.
