Katie Cassidy has pitched a ‘Birds of Prey’ show to CW

It’s a good time to be a Birds of Prey fan, with Azzarello’s Birds of Prey  starting this October and Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey film releasing next February.

Now, if things go well, it’s only set to increase, as Katie Cassidy reveals she’s pitched a BoP show to The CW. “I’ve pitched it. I think they should [do it]. It’s time for women. Come on, we’ve got this.”

Cassidy plays Laurel Lance in Arrow and has appeared as both Black Canary and an alternate reality Laurel in Black Siren.

Recently, CW President Mark Pedowitz revealed he’s looking for a new series to replace Arrow when it ends early 2020, so it’ll be interesting to see if a Birds show is that series, as well as what lineup it features if it does happen.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Arrowverse has touched on the team, as a 2013 Arrow episode featured tech wizard Felicity, Sara Lance, then Black Canary, and her sister, Laurel, teaming up.

Arrow’s final season begins on October 15.
