James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is definitely assembling an eclectic cast, both of actors and characters. It looks like that’s only set to continue, with Deadline reporting Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi has been cast in Gunn’s Suicide Squad follow up.
It’s currently unknown what role Capaldi would be playing. The outlet also reports that Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson is in talks for a “small role” in the film, saying there’s a chance he’ll film it “between breaks on SNL.”
Capaldi’s likely most well known for playing Malcolm Tucker in The Thick of It and the 12th Doctor in Doctor Who. There’s reportedly a table read for The Suicide Squad set for next Wednesday, with production starting September 23rd.
The Suicide Squad releases August 6th, 2021.
