Welcome back to the official AiPT! Comics podcast where your hosts Forrest Hollingsworth and David Brooke discuss their favorite comics of last week, news, their most anticipated books out next week.
Very special guest Kami Garcia joins the show to talk about upcoming Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity out October 9th. We discuss profiling Joker and the realism of the series from art to story. Garcia talks about her research on serial killers, her realistic take on Harley, and what villain she’d like to profile next. We also talk about the connection between Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity and her in-canon book The X-Files Origins: Agent of Chaos and how her approach to Fox Mulder and Harley Quinn was similar in some ways.
In the news, James Tynion IV is taking over Batman, we go over the biggest Marvel December 2019 solicitations, DC’s Birds of Prey was canceled and then re-solicited as mature title, DC Comics ends Co-Op advertising program, and Archie Comics buys Comic Book Legal Defense Fund membership.
