If Vincent D’Onofrio could play another Marvel character, who would he want it be?

What would YOU like to see?

To the surprise of everyone at Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada’s “Cup O’ Joe” panel at New York Comic Con 2019 on Friday, Vincent D’Onofrio appeared to tell Stanley Kubrick stories from filming Full Metal Jacket, and to reminisce about spending his childhood summers in Brooklyn. D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin, in Marvel and Netflix’s television series Daredevil is legendary, whether the show is able to come back or not.

But if it doesn’t, that opens up the opportunity for him to play someone else. During the Q & A portion of the panel, someone asked the question on everyone’s mind. If D’Onofrio did play someone else, who would he want it to be?

“It’s not something I’m thinking about,” he said. He was given such freedom and such trust in the role, that it doesn’t feel right to dive into hypotheticals.

“To consider anything else at the moment would be a very strange thing to do,” he said. “That said, if they offered me another part to play tomorrow, I’d take it in a second.”
