Wednesday Bethesda announced a new premium subscription service for Fallout 76 at the price of $13 a month or $99 a year — Fallout 1st.
The new service delivers two features Fallout fans have been asking for since before the game launched: single player mode and the ability to play with your friends without being disturbed by strangers.
Fallout 1st’s reveal comes on the heels of the announcement Bethesda made last week, revealing that the game’s highly requested Wastelanders update has been delayed until the first quarter of 2020. Unsurprisingly this news was much to the chagrin of Fallout 76’s players, who’ve long been asking for the addition of non-player human characters (NPCs), a feature that’s designed to make Fallout 76 feel a lot more like the Fallout fans are used to.
Bethesda describes the new subscription service as “a premium membership that offers something players have been asking for since before launch: private worlds for you and select friends.”

Subscribers will gain access to a private world that can be shared with up to seven friends and doesn’t require the player’s friends to be subscribers to enjoy the feature. Also included in a scrapbook with unlimited storage for crafting components, a survival tent that acts as a placeable fast travel point, 1,650 Atoms per month to use in the Atomic Shop, a custom Ranger armor outfit, and unique icons and emotes.
Fallout 76 costs $40 for the base version of the game without the subscription service. With Doom Eternal recently being delayed four months until March 2020, it remains Bethesda’s most active IP with players.
