Adventures in Movies! Episode 41: Alice Waddington Interview & Fairy Tales

Would you like to live happily ever after?

After a month discussing all aspects of horror, Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel decided it was time for something new. This week’s episode is about fairy tales. What makes them so endearing? What are the elements of a great fairy tale? Which ones do the guys like the most?

It was a busy week in movie news, especially for Game of Thrones fans. Danny and Blake talk about why D & D left Star Wars and whether it was a good decision. Plus, talk of one prequel rising where one has fallen.

It is no secret how much the guys LOVED Spider-Verse. A sequel is scheduled to be released for 2022. Danny and Nathaniel talk about why they are not as excited as one would expect.

Paradise Hills is a fairy tale with modern sensibilities. Director Alice Waddington spoke with Nathaniel about her star studded film and its place in today’s world.

This week’s topic is fairy tales. The guys have a lot to say about the genre. But if you are going to talk fairy tales, you may as well take some time to talk about the people who complain way too much. This leads to a conversation on the importance of characters and good vs evil.
