For the first time in the eight week history of the Wednesday Night Wars WWE NXT has beaten AEW Dynamite in viewership ratings.
NXT won the battle, but the war is far from over. It took the combined efforts of RAW and Smackdown top talent, such as Seth Rollins, The Revival, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, and several others. And while NXT won, it was still a very close call. WWE managed to edge out AEW by 2.6%.
Per Showbuzz Daily, Dynamite drew 893,000 viewers, which is a significant drop from last week’s 979,000. Meanwhile, NXT drew 916,000 viewers, which is a huge increase from 750,000 in the previous week.
Another piece of important data to note is that Dynamite fared better in the 18-49 demographic, with a .39 rating in eight place (down from fifth place last week) and NXT came in at No. 14 (up from No. 22) with a .30 rating.
Year to date WWE NXT is at a high of 1.179 millions views on September 18. and a low of 580,000 on Oct. 30. While AEW Dynamite is at a high of 1.4 million views on Oct. 2 and a low of 759,000 on Oct. 30.
