Final 2019 WWE Backstage episode pulls low ratings

Not a good way to end the decade.

WWE Backstage didn’t leave 2019 on the best of terms. The program’s final show of the decade pulled in a measly 97,000 viewers, the third-lowest number of viewers since the show premiered, which is nearly half of its peak viewership.

Is the holiday to blame? Hard to say, as the Christmas Eve show drew a healthy number at 153,000 viewers.

The show peaked on Nov. 19 with CM Punk’s debut, pulling in 180,000 viewers, two weeks after it’s record low viewership on Nov. 6 at 50,000.

This week’s episode featured a special highlight of the top 5 matches of 2019.

Below is WWE Backstage’s 2019 viewership numbers:

October 15: 597,000 viewers with a 0.20 rating
October 25: 426,000 viewers with a 0.14 rating
November 5: 49,000 viewers with a 0.02 rating (Official premiere)
November 12: 100,000 viewers with a 0.04 rating
November 19: 180,000 viewers with a 0.10 rating
November 26: 121,000 viewers with a 0.05 rating
December 3: 138,000 viewers with a 0.08 rating
December 10: 127,000 viewers with a 0.06 rating
December 17: 95,000 viewers with a 0.05 rating
December 24: 153,000 viewers with a 0.05 rating
December 31: 97,000 viewers with a 0.03 rating

CM Punk was once again missing from the show this week, but not to worry, he returns Jan. 21.
