CW Orders ‘Superman & Lois’ Straight to Series

Last October, the CW began developing a series centered around Superman, played by Tyler Hoechlin, and Lois Lane, played by Elizabeth Tuloch. Both actors have already appeared in the Arrowverse with Hoechlin debuting in season two of Supergirl while Tuloch was first seen in the “Elseworlds” crossover event.

On the same day of the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” finale, an event both played prominent roles in, it was announced that Superman & Lois would receive a direct pick-up avoiding the pilot process. It will follow the couple as they manage the difficulties of juggling both a career and parenthood.

The series is written and executive produced by Tom Helbing and executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns. Though no premiere date is set, Superman & Lois will air during the 2020-2021 broadcast season.
