Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. Voice Cast Stacked with Comedic Talent

Last year, Hulu announced four new animated shows they were developing based off of Marvel properties. Like what occurred on Netflix with all the street level hero shows, there would be an eventual crossover event featuring characters from the four programs.

Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. will be one of those new animated series which will star Patton Oswalt as the supervillain and former leader of A.I.M. The story follows the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing as he goes through a midlife crisis. Not only has he been removed as the leader of A.I.M. for running the organization to the ground, but he must deal with a deteriorating marriage and family life.

Today, Marvel revealed the rest of the voice cast and the roles they will be playing. It’s quite an assemblage of comedic talent with many members from popular shows. In his home life, Jodie is M.O.D.O.K.’s wife who is developing her own mommy-blog turned lifestyle brand empire. She is voiced by Aimee Garcia (Lucifer). Their two children are Lou and Melissa, voiced by Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) and Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) respectively. Lou is an average twelve-year old boy who is a little socially awkward and has questionable hygiene habits. Melissa on the other hand, is a seventeen-year old, Regina George-esque queen bee and talented figure skater.

At work, M.O.D.O.K.’s been demoted and A.I.M. has been taken over by a Silicon Valley tech giant. Austin Van Der Sleet has been brought in as a post-merger-integration-consultant. Austin, voiced by Beck Bennet (Saturday Night Live), becomes the new boss and thorn in the supervillain’s side. Wendi McLendon-Covey’s Monica Rappaccini is a brilliant mad scientist and M.O.D.O.K. workplace frenemy who sees Austin as a threat but wants to take power of the company for herself.

At least there are still dependable coworkers. Super Adaptoid, voiced by Jon Daly (The Kroll Show), is a snarky android who dreams to be free from its programming but can’t help but serve his creator, M.O.D.O.K. Finally, Sam Richardson (Veep) plays Gary, an ever loyal A.I.M. henchman who is willing to help no matter how low M.O.D.O.K. falls on the company ladder.

Midlife Crisis M.O.D.O.K. is already an entertaining pitch but throw in all the voice talent and the show is seeming to be a can’t miss when it eventually lands on Hulu.
