Altered Carbon: New Season, New Kovacs

It will be over two years since it first hit Netflix, but later this month, Altered Carbon will be returning for its second season. The futuristic sci-fi series follows protagonist and soldier turned investigator, Takeshi Kovacs, as he solves cases in the Blade Runner-esque metropolis of Bay City.

In this world, people’s consciousness can be transferred into different bodies, or “sleeves”, thus granting them near immortality. Because of this technological breakthrough, Kovacs finds himself in a different sleeve this season as he is now played by Anthony Mackie. A new teaser was released highlighting the actor in the new role.

All eight episodes of Altered Carbon’s second season will come out February 27 on Netflix.
