WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg made an appearance on this week’s episode of SmackDown to officially challenge “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the WWE Universal Championship Title at the upcoming Super ShowDown PPV event in Saudi Arabia.
Goldberg joined announcers Corey Graves and Michael Cole live via satellite from his home in Texas and didn’t waste anytime letting fans know what’s next for him in WWE.
“I’m gonna get straight to the point,” said Goldberg. “Last week I watched the Royal Rumble with my boy and it was downright inspiring. It got me thinking … it gave me that itch again. I know the usual suspect, Brock Lesnar, has his hands full with Ricochet and Drew McIntyre, but what about the Universal Championship … I never got a rematch. Everyone knows I like to meet a challenge head on.”
Once Goldberg made mention of the Universal Championship, the current holder of the title appeared to interrupt him live from the Firefly Fun House. Watch the heated interaction below.
